The Liberia Health–Climate Resilience Consortium is a non-governmental, non-political, and not-for-profit corporation established by ten non-governmental and civil society organizations.
The Consortium provides a collaborative platform through which member organizations can coordinate initiatives, exchange knowledge, mobilize resources, develop partnerships, and implement activities that advance shared development objectives.
We recognize that complex community challenges cannot be addressed effectively by individual organizations working in isolation.
Our approach therefore emphasizes collective action, institutional collaboration, community participation, and responsible resource use.
LiH-CRON's headquarters will be in Monrovia, Liberia, with the possibility of establishing sub-offices elsewhere to support its operations.
LiH-CRON is committed to supporting stronger cooperation among local organizations and promoting community-centred approaches to health, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
We believe that empowering local organizations and strengthening partnerships can help communities respond more effectively to shared challenges.
Together, we can build a healthier and more resilient Liberia.
Our work is guided by the following principles:
LiH-CRON seeks to work across social, ethnic, geographical, cultural, and religious boundaries while respecting the laws of Liberia and maintaining its non-political character.
The Liberia Health and Climate Resilience Consortium (LiH-CRON) Inc. brings together local organizations with different areas of expertise to address shared development challenges in Liberia.
Our work recognizes the relationship between human health, environmental sustainability, climate change, food security, livelihoods, and community stability.
By promoting cooperation among civil society organizations, community leaders, development partners, and relevant institutions, LiH-CRON seeks to encourage coordinated responses to these challenges. According to the organizational information provided, the consortium brings together ten local organizations working in areas including healthcare, climate change, agriculture, and peacebuilding.
Our approach emphasizes community participation, local leadership, organizational collaboration, and sustainable development.
LiH-CRON welcomes engagement with civil society organizations, community-based organizations, government institutions, development partners, donors, researchers, and other stakeholders interested in community health and climate resilience.
Together, we can strengthen local capacity, promote sustainable development, and improve community well-being.
We believe that healthier communities, resilient livelihoods, environmental sustainability, and peaceful coexistence are essential to Liberia’s long-term development.
Through collaboration and collective action, LiH-CRON seeks to strengthen the systems and partnerships needed to achieve these goals.
LiH-CRON emerged from a shared commitment among organizations working in health, agriculture, environmental sanitation, peacebuilding, gender inclusion, human rights, and community development.
The founding organizations recognized the need for a coordinated platform capable of strengthening local capacity, mobilizing resources, supporting collaborative programmes, and addressing interconnected development challenges.
The Consortium was established under the applicable laws of the Republic of Liberia governing not-for-profit associations.
Its Constitution and Bylaws provide the framework for its governance, membership, operations, financial management, partnerships, and accountability.
Together, we can strengthen local capacity, promote sustainable development, and improve community wellbeing.

We promote stronger community and public health systems through coordinated action, knowledge-sharing, community engagement, and initiatives addressing public health risks and disease burdens.
